Shanghai Stoplight
I have wanted to test out an animated gif for a while now, and while I was sitting on the bus the other day, I figured….why not? So I took a series of photos as everyone rode by on their bikes and I think it turned out pretty good! My process was quick and dirty, and there is plenty of refinement that I could have done. Maybe next time!
In other news, my camera is sick and will hopefully go to the doctor soon. A few hours after I took these photos, I tried to turn it on and “Lens Error. Restart Camera” flashed on the screen followed by beep beep beep. I knew it wasn’t a good sign, so I carefully put the camera back in the bag being careful not to scratch the now exposed lens. I’ve contacted Ritz Camera, the parent company of Camera World in Portland where I purchased it over a year ago, and am waiting to hear back from their “international repairs agent”. So far my customer service experience has been amazing….lets just hope it stays that way.
Also, I will be heading back to Seoul, South Korea for October Break, and this time Nik is going with me!!! It’ll be his first significant vacation since February, and we are both very excited. If you have any Seoul recommendations….please send them our way!
We have also done some more exploring in Shanghai, but I have been too worn out and preoccupied to write about it. Luckily, Nik is pretty amazing at this work-life-blog balancing act, so here are a few of his photos and the links to his most recent blog post:
Happy Valley Amusement Park, Shanghai
OH, and Shanghai’s summer fever broke and we have been experiencing AMAZING weather for the past two weeks. Unfortunately Nik and I have both been working nearly nonstop, so we haven’t enjoyed it as much as we’d like to. But we’re trying.
OH, and I need to say Happy Birthday to my oldest niece!!! She turns 4 today, and I can’t believe it.
I CANNOT BELIEVE AUBREY IS 4! madness. i miss you, j. we’ll catch up soon, i hope.
