Your Dad and I have spent a wonderful weekend with your 2 nieces. And I hope we do as good a job at peeking thier curiosity as we have evidently achieved with you. How in the world we accomplished it I don’t know. I just prayed to God when the first of you were born and left it in his hands. We are awful proud of you. Love MOM

Mary – It is funny that you mention Chinese fireworks because we just saw a huge display a couple nights ago that both of our Dads would have loved

Too funny. The whole time (a short week) I was in China I was wishing my Dad could see it. He used to be an amateur fireworks maker, so he’s been obsessed with China and Chinese culture for my entire life. When I visit him (in TN, coincidentally) we watch DVDs of Chinese fireworks factories. I looked for some firecracker labels while I was there, but couldn’t find any.
